Why pay more for the same hour?

Every online WHMIS course teaches the same material because the law sets it: labels, safety data sheets, hazard classes and pictograms. The difference is price and whether the content is current. Ours is written against Health Canada's amended regulations, not a 2015 slide deck with a new date on it, and you only pay once you've passed.

Who takes this course

Starting a new job

Warehouse, construction, manufacturing, retail, hospitality, health care, trades, agriculture: most employers ask for WHMIS before your first shift. Finish tonight, print the certificate in the morning.

Renewing after a year

Employers review WHMIS training annually. If your last certificate is more than a year old, retake the course free and get a current certificate, or use the 15-minute refresher if you trained with us.

Training a team

Send workers the link; each gets a verifiable certificate. For ten or more, email us for a single invoice and a completion list.

Common questions

Is this certificate accepted by employers?

Employers in every province and territory accept online WHMIS education as the generic part of their training program; the law leaves the choice of provider to the employer, and no regulator approves or issues certificates. Our certificate records your name, date, score and a verifiable ID, which is what employers look for. They must still give you site-specific training on their own products.

How long does it take?

About an hour for the course and 15 minutes for the exam. You can stop and come back; progress is saved in your browser.

Does the certificate expire?

No law sets an expiry date, but employers must review WHMIS training at least annually, so most ask for something less than a year old. Your certificate shows a recommended review date 12 months after completion.

What if I fail?

Retake it free, as many times as you need. The result tells you which modules to review and the question set changes each attempt.

Can I take it in Quebec or in French?

Not yet. This is an English course; in Quebec, SIMDUT training must be delivered in French. We'll add a French version if there is demand.
